WHAT'S UP AT SKYE BLEU STUDIOS

February 2010 - Jeff Givens and the Bourbon Cowboy sessions- - Work continues on the Bourbon Cowboy sessions with Neil Laferty on guitar. Great session and the best tones yet. Follow the progress with Jeff Givens on his MySpace blog. Steel drum to be added in March.

Also Harms continues work on our new album to be released in 2010. Sometime....

1/18/10 Rudy Castillo in the Studio- Started work on new album to be released in April 2010. More info to follow....

1/10/10 Young World in the Studio- - These guys range from age 15 to 17 and hail from the West side and are really showing some great talent on their new album started this week. We will post with details on a release date.

1/1/10 Happy New Years to All: Best Wishes to everyone for a successful 2010 !!

12/20/09 Jeff Givens - - Jeff has started on his new album Bourbon Cowboy to be released in April 2010 with Jason Botka and Mike Kozitka producing. Things are sounding great so far on this 'work of a lifetime'. Check it out when its finished. We will be posting updates and streaming the vocal sessions live on our Stickam site in March. We will post with details once we have the dates. The link is on the right of this page.

8/17/09 Bob Bornack in the Studio- - Bob is in the studio doing some voice overs for 780AM on behalf of the Misericordia - Heart of Mercy Golf Outing.

7/1/09 New Custom Tracks Services Added- - SBS has now added a new service featuring some of the best session musicians in Chicago. You send us your session via our ftp site and we will add the custom tracks you need to complete your project. We will then post the project back to our ftp for you to download and finish your mix. The range of tracks we can support are listed on our services page.

Please contact us for more information about the tracks you need and we will give you a temporary ftp login for the duration of your project for upload and download of session data.

3/30/09 Pete Berwick -Just Another Day In Hell -- Pete Berwick released his latest album recorded here at SBS and mastered by Blaise Barton at Joyride Studio Chicago. Released on Shotgun Records / Burnside Distribution. Check it out at www.peteberwick.net.

1/12/2009 Pete Berwick in the Studio -- Pete Berwick is currently in the studio recording his new album 'Just Another Day In Hell' to be released in mid -March. We will be streaming some of his sessions live online. -- Check it out if you get a chance.

1/1/2009 Happy New Years -- The new studio is officially open, debugged and running great. Thanks very much to everyone who helped us put this place together. Hope everyone has a great and successful 2009.

8/1/2008 New Web Streaming -- SBS will be web streaming video and audio from select sessions and live shows we record in real time. Follow the following link to our Stickam site.

8/1/2008 SBS New Facility -- We just finished construction of our new studio this month in Villa Park, IL. We still have some finishing touches to put on things and are still waiting on some of our new equipment but we are now currently taking bookings starting in early September.

Our new facility opening in August 2008 will be outfitted with a new Pro Tools TDM system complemented by array of quality preamps from Trident, API and SSL to name a few. .

4/5/2008 SBS Upgrades to new Genelec 8000 Series Monitors -- SBS is excited about our new purchase of Genelec 8000 Series monitors. These are great sounding, accurate monitors. After much listening and debate we have selected these monitors to enhance the tools we have to get great sounding mixes.
